Shunt Centre – certified by ClarCert
Together with Nymphenburg Centre for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and the KfH Nierenzentrum München-Laim (Munich-Laim Kidney Centre), the Vascular Surgery Clinic has, since May 2018, been certified as one of the first regional shunt centres in Germany and thus fulfils the high requirements regarding qualification, quality and number of shunt operations performed. This also applies to the 24/7 specialist stand-by team of experienced shunt operators or interventionalists.
At the Shunt Centre, a large number of both initial insertions of dialysis shunts and complicated revision operations are carried out. The surgical procedures are usually carried out in a short-stay or outpatient setting, and there is the option of having dialysis in close cooperation with our nephrological partners.
