Dear patients and families,
We have adapted our procedures at the Social Paediatric Centre (SPZ) to the needs of the current situation with the aim of protecting you and ourselves from mutual infection during the corona pandemic.
We kindly ask you to accompany your child alone to their appointment at the SPC and without siblings. You will need to prove that you have been tested, vaccinated or have recovered from the virus in order to attend the appointment with your child.* Visitors are registered by name in paper form at the reception area of the children's clinic. The data collected from visitors is used exclusively for the purpose of follow-up by the health department, stored in accordance with data protection regulations and erased after four weeks.
Prerequisite for access:*
Proof of testing:
Negative test result in the form of a PCR test (max. 48 hrs. old) or an antigen test (not older than 24 hrs.). Please note that testing is not carried out for visitors at the Klinikum Dritter Orden.
Children from the age of 6 also need a negative test or proof of recovery to gain access to the paediatric clinic.
Proof of vaccination:
Certificate confirming a complete vaccination (from the 15th calendar day after the second vaccination) or recent vaccination and passed Covid infection – in this case, proof is provided by presenting the positive PCR test in combination with the vaccination certificate.
Proof of overcome Covid infection:
Proof of having overcome a Covid infection is, in accordance with the Bavarian Ministry of Health, a positive PCR test with the corresponding date, which must be at least 28 days and at the maximum six months ago.
Please notify us and postpone your appointment if you or your child suffer from an infection (incl. cough, cold, with or without fever or with diarrhoea symptoms) and/or if you or your child have had contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 during the previous two weeks. We are unable to examine and treat children and accompanying persons who attend the appointment with infections; we ask for your understanding in this regard.
A face mask must be worn by you and your child (provided that they are older than 6 years) during your entire stay with us. We will perform certain examinations here on site without a mask, however, we will use other protective equipment accordingly.
We will make preparations for your appointment by telephone, if necessary, in order to keep the duration of your stay on our premises, and therefore the personal contact time, as short as possible. Video-assisted consultations are also possible. We will always provide you with plenty of time to clarify your concerns, if necessary, by combining the various communication channels.
Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us at 089 1795-2661 or by email (spz@dritter-orden.de).
Kind regards,
Your SPZ Team
The Klinikum Dritter Orden Paediatric Clinic’s specialisations include Neonatology (intensive care for newborn infants), Paediatric Surgery, Neuropaediatrics, Paediatric Gastroenterology and Paediatric Nephrology. Since 2010 the clinic has also housed the Social Education Centre (SPZ), which treats patients on an interdisciplinary basis. Here children with chronic diseases, consequential damage, health problems and development disorders are looked after sometimes on a long-term outpatient basis.
The SPZ complements the Paediatric Clinic’s spectrum of care with Perinatal Medicine – i.e. medical care in the case of high-risk pregnancies and high-risk births – of inpatient treatment and follow-up, by providing ongoing care beyond the inpatient sphere. It co-ordinates all the diagnostic and therapeutic services used to investigate and treat congenital and acquired clinical pictures as well as existing or impending disability in childhood and adolescence.
The SPZ is an interface between clinical paediatrics, paediatricians in private practice, paediatric rehabilitation and the public health service.
