Competence Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)

Our high standards are attested by the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery

Striving to operate on our patients in the most gentle way possible, we have continuously been minimising the amount of surgical trauma with access to the abdomen and chest using ever finer precision. The underlying procedure, known as keyhole surgery, has long been used for many benign and also malignant diseases. As a result of this continuous expansion of the laparoscopic field of application, we have succeeded in establishing ourselves as a competence centre for minimally invasive surgery (MIS).

Another advancement is the so-called single-port surgery, whereby it is possible to operate through the navel without leaving any visible scars. Yet it is not only the cosmetic result that counts. A further benefit for the patient is that these procedures involve very rapid recovery and a short stay in hospital.

The decision for or against minimally invasive surgery is always reached on the basis of the respective findings and following careful examination and consideration of all factors to be taken into account. This is how we meet our claim to find the optimal operation for every situation and every patient.

A certificate issued by the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery (DGAV) attests that the surgical procedures we offer are of a high standard and comply with all required, stringent and modern quality standards.
