Several doctors specialising in cranio-maxillofacial surgery with their own practices have external physician beds at the Klinikum Dritter Orden – as “external doctors” they carry out the examinations in their own practice then refer their patients for an operation in the unit where the procedure can be performed using all the Clinic’s facilities in terms of staff and technical equipment. The external doctors at the Klinikum Dritter Orden perform surgery on children as well as adults.
