Medical excellence and humanity
We look after our patients on five wards and together with our colleagues from the Internal Medicine II Clinic we cover the entire spectrum of Internal Medicine. Our specialisations are Gastroenterology (diseases of the digestive system) and Haemato-Oncology (diseases of the blood-forming system and tumour diseases). In Endocrinology our clinic has many years of experience with thyroid diseases, and here we work hand in hand with the Clinic’s Nuclear Medicine physicians and surgeons. We have been recognised by the German Diabetes Society as a treatment centre for type II diabetics since 1998.
Under our management the Internal Medicine Emergency Unit admits patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. True to the spirit of a denominational clinic, in every decision we are duty-bound to the patient as a human being: we do not view him/her as a “defective organ”, instead we combine our medical knowledge with a holistic approach.

Consultation hours:
For all consultation hours it is necessary to make an appointment through the secretaries’ office.
We offer regular consultation hours to all privately insured patients, and exceptionally to national health insurance patients as well in special circumstances.
Consultation hours for patients with internal medical and gastroenterological diseases or outpatient endoscopic examination (Chief Physician Prof. Dr. A. Eigler): Monday afternoon and Thursday morning, by prior arrangement only.
Consultation hours for patients with haematological-oncological diseases (Senior Consultant Dr. St. Weidenhöfer), by prior arrangement only.
